Using unnecessary application or feature may cause an unexpected problem. Inventit™ MobiConnect restricts unnecessary use to avoid problems due to inappropriate use by the user.
Device Capability Control
A smartphone has a wide variety of features; some of which, however, are restricted by the corporate security policy or in some work environment. With Inventit™ MobiConnect, you can remotely restrict the use of features such as a camera, Bluetooth, SD card and wireless LAN on the smartphone (target devices depend on models). Inappropriate use of smartphone by the user can be prevented by restricting unnecessary or forbidden features.
Application Monitoring
A smartphone has a rich set of useful applications. While these are convenient, they may lead to misoperation by the user. There may be also some cases the user inadvertently installs a malicious application. With Inventit™ MobiConnect, only allowed set of applications can be displayed on the screen or status of applications can be checked at a certain interval and the administrator can be notified in case an unauthorized application is detected.
Get Location
Location information of the smartphone can be remotely obtained with Inventit™ MobiConnect. This allows not only identifying the location of a lost smartphone but knowing where the device is currently in use. Inventit™ MobiConnect also provides a feature for getting location information at regular intervals. By periodically getting the location the smartphone is used, improper use at the prohibited or unintended place will be identified.
